Background – Topic and Task

The legal requirement to separate network operations from sales within energy utilities necessitated the establishment of a new company within the Bayerngas Group to operate the natural gas transmission network. A distinct corporate identity was to be designed for the new company.

Strategy – The Path to the Goal

Development of the logo and visual identity that meets the requirements of unbundling while still demonstrating the company’s affiliation with the Bayerngas Group. Positioning as a modern, innovative company that ensures energy supply in Bavaria and, through its integration into international natural gas networks, also plays a key role for Germany and Europe.

Implementation

Design of the logo and corporate stationery. Building on this, the corporate typeface and color palette were defined. As the company grew, additional communication materials were developed, conceived, designed, and produced based on the principles established in the initial design phase.

For example, a dedicated microsite was launched for the construction of the MONACO pipeline to facilitate communication between the company, local residents, and government agencies.

The strategic development of the core concept—based on the company’s identity and market positioning—made it possible to launch with a basic visual identity and expand communications in line with the brand in the years that followed.

Bayernets has become a recognized leader among German transmission system operators. Its brand identity remains contemporary and effectively sets the company apart from its competitors.

Design and production of the corporate brochure—including development of the visual concept and photo shoots

As part of the expansion of its communications efforts, a corporate brochure was designed to reflect the growth and success of bayernets GmbH, clearly and transparently communicate the company’s values and goals, and highlight its role as a guarantor of a secure natural gas supply in southern Germany.

The brochure also provides clear answers to technical questions about the transportation of natural gas from producing countries.

Portraits of bayernets employees and their respective areas of responsibility authentically showcase the company’s various business segments.

Illustrations help explain the technical aspects of natural gas transmission in the pipeline network.

The high-quality production of the brochure and the strategic use of finishing techniques (spot varnishing and embossing) in the printing process reflect the company’s commitment to quality.
