Promotional Video: Aluceram – The Gold Standard for Aluminum Surfaces
As design elements, aluminum trim parts have a major influence on modern automotive design. The industrial film produced by Süddeutsche Aluminium Manufaktur shows how they are manufactured and what technical innovations play a role in the manufacturing process.
Client: SAM automotive GmbH, Böhmenkirch-Heidhöfe, Automotive, over 1,000 employees
Objective: To support the transformation of the company’s image – from a surface treatment service provider to a reliable and competent automotive supplier that develops its own innovative solutions and technologies—and to establish the Aluceram process as the benchmark for surface quality in terms of surface protection, appearance, and feel.

Background – Topic and Task
Due to its history in the industry, Süddeutsche Aluminium Manufaktur has traditionally been viewed primarily as a reliable provider of polishing and grinding services. Its evolution into a first-tier system supplier with extensive innovation potential has not been adequately communicated to date.
Strategy – The Path to the Goal
Süddeutsche Aluminium Manufaktur’s innovative Aluceram process protects aluminum surfaces for interior and exterior automotive trim parts. By showcasing this process, the goal was to enhance the company’s image and establish the Aluceram process as the gold standard in surface finishing.
Solution – Implementation
The film presents the process—from machining the raw parts through surface treatment to applying the protective coating—and demonstrates why Aluceram is the method of choice for finishing aluminum surfaces. The target audience consists of existing and potential customers of Süddeutsche Aluminium Manufaktur. The film was aimed at senior management and decision-makers in purchasing. The film also supports the company’s transformation from a surface treatment service provider to a reliable and competent automotive supplier that develops its own innovative solutions and technologies.
From the mechanical machining of raw parts to the ALUCERAM coating and final quality control, the viewer experiences the entire production process. The use of cinematic cinematography and elaborate post-production give the film a distinctive, high-quality look. This portrays Süddeutsche Aluminium Manufaktur as an innovative company that sets new standards in aluminum processing.
