Client and Project

Peter Müller MED-Agentur GmbH, based in Munich, is a small company with one to ten employees.

The goal was to create a comprehensive guide to the ergonomic design of computer workstations.

MWIMMERDESIGN was responsible for the editorial design, typesetting through to the final artwork, and the creation of the necessary illustrations.

Strategy

The design consistently relied on visual representations to clearly convey complex ergonomic concepts, ranging from the proper adjustment of an office chair to the selection of supportive work tools such as ergonomic mice.

Implementation

The guide, which spans more than 70 pages, covers topics such as the mechanical and adjustable features of office furniture, avoiding one-sided rotational movements while working, and ergonomic accessories.

All steps and settings are illustrated and explained with diagrams.

The following were delivered:

The guide was published on March 4, 2013, written by Petra Stehle and Christian Erhard, with illustrations by Christoph Ehlers and Matthias Wimmer (ISBN 978-3-00-041308-7). It is available in bookstores.
