For most brands in Germany, television advertising remains the first choice out of all media forms. Sponsored competitions connected with sporting events, such as world championships and Olympic Games, strengthen the positive image of brands quite significantly. mwimmerdesign designed a competition package for ARD and ZDF as part of the coverage of the Confederations Cup 2005, in which both the current champions from the six continental associations as well as the current world champion and the host nation took part.
Recordings of fans in football stadiums all over the world were integrated in a graphical framework and show the global enthusiasm for football. Depending on the match, the animation took place in flight over a virtual globe to the continent that is home to the country of origin of one of the two teams, before presenting the question and possible answers.
